UPDATE August 29,2010:
I've taken this bike down and cleaned it, touched up the
frame, detailed the engine while it was in the cradle, added
a set of rear shocks from the stash, new refurbished seat, new cables, a
beautiful set of original paint body work, cleaned the
rims/hubs/spokes, detailed the original Bridgestone Trail
Wings tires, added newly zinc
plated hardware, a newly rechromed rear brake pedal, chain,
air filter, petcock and anything else that it needed.
I now would call this a refurb, not a restoration, but it
shows well as a very low mile bike with original body work.
This bike runs very well.
Runs very well. This is
an excellent 'starter kit' for a restoration or keep as
original. Very straight, clean and relatively rust free.
Pipe is in excellent shape. Has an ultra rare
speedometer and horn kit. This one was evidently
licensed in Oklahoma as evidenced by the inspection sticker
on the fork leg. Fork seals weep and side covers
cracked. Split on the rear of the seat.

Refurbished seat with
powdercoated pan, updated foam and new cover.

The one imperfection in the
bodywork can be seen in this picture. I is at 6
o'clock just down from the fender attaching bolt.

All lights work and I
installed a fresh battery.

This bike still has its'
original Bridgestone Trail Wing tires. They are
slightly weather checked, but still very usable.

Prior to doing the refurb on the bike I had done a very
general cleaning and this is what it looked like before.

And here is what it looked
like before any cleanup at all.
