I
bought this bike with only 3000 miles on it and it was
pretty nice to begin with.
So far I have had the front fender and headlamp
bucket repainted. The
headlamp bucket had a small scratch in it and the front
fender had obviously been repainted at some time in the past
and didn’t match very well.
Thanks to Brian Ratkos for taking the time to match
the paint and do a great job.
The
bike came to me with a K1 seat on it and if you know
anything about the differences, there was a gap between the
seat and fuel tank of about 2 inches.
The bike came to me with the original seat, but it
had a crack in the pan.
I sent it off to Bob’s General Services
www.bgsmc.com for repairs
and it came back looking great.
The fork ears had a few pits of chrome and I managed
to find an NOS set and also replaced the front forks with
NOS items due to someone having put vise grips on them at
some point.
This
bike has never been taken down and restored, it just looks
really nice being pampered and touched up.
The gauges look great and are not faded at all.
It really runs and drives nice.
