Honda SL125 K0 #1
VIN# SL125S-1027772
Strato
Blue Metallic

This bike
is absolutely stunning. I started with a VERY NICE
original one owner bike with absolutely no rust whatsoever
and I saved everything on the bike. I did put an NOS
exhaust system on it as the original had a very slight ding
in it. You would not be disappointed in this
bike. I bought it from an individual that worked at a
Honda dealership in the early 70's. He stated that he
bought the bike brand new in '73 after it sat in the
showroom for almost 2 years. Honda registered a bit
over 31,000 SL125 K0's and this serial number indicates that
it is one of the later ones in the production run. Of
the colors available on the K0's, this Strato Blue is the
best (IMHO), and my painter went to a tremendous amount of
trouble to match the paint exactly. I had a great bike
to work with as the original color wasn't faded at all, and
just had the normal wear and tear with minor
scratches. I haven't started this bike since the
rebuild, but I drove it around the neighborhood quite a bit
before teardown and have no doubt that it will run again
when required. It is almost too nice to drive.
This was the first SL125 that I restored so I took tons of
pictures on disassembly.

Restoration started 11/07/04
Disassembly complete, parts at chrome shop, frame painted,
reassembly started 11/16/04.
I took tons of pictures
on disassembly of this bike. It was 100% all original
and only had 1400 miles on it. Thought it might be
helpful for some to see how things were on this bike.
Restoration completed 12/29/04!!!!
