Engine ready for disassembly and rebuilding

The steering head bearings were shot.

Parts ready for powder coating, polishing and chroming

All the hardware ready for stripping and zinc plating

Also, the front forks were pretty trashed on the inside from water seepage.

Here's the engine all restored and rebuilt.

Managed to get the old sticker off of the side cover.  This is the one that had the scratch running through it.  I had Reproduction Decals make a new one.

Front wheel in the clamps and ready to start the assembly process.

Swingarm and rear shocks in place

Remember how the speedometer was cloudy?  Managed to get it clear......bad picture.  It now looks nice.

Center portion of engine now painted.............as requested.

No matter what I did, I couldn't get the pin of the helmet holder to come clean.  May have to try to find a new one or just leave it off the bike.

Ready for the engine..........frame protectors.

Slipped right in.

End of

End of the day.

Next day

Made some more progress............and some detail pictures

his is the side cover with the new decal

This is all that's left to install.....................If I could just get the forks together.
